In Spring 2022 an international research group was formed to explore questions of cartographic research and territoriality/territorialities as a concept. Additionally, we are proud to be part of a partner network of blogs focussing on the historiographical analysis of related issues and source material.
As a part Cartographies of Africa and Asia (1800–1945) project, the Centre for Transcultural Studies in Gotha hosted the conference Mapping Asia. Cartography and the Construction of Territoriality in November 2022.
